Change from nickel-metal hydride (Ni-MH) batteries, lithium-ion was accompanied by an increase in power by 14 hp (10 kW) and 20 hp (15 kW). Working in unison, Integrated Motor Assist (IMA) hybrid system now provides an output 137 hp at 6600 rpm (13 hp) and 190 Nm of torque (16 Nm). To help the driver take full advantage of this performance sport, Honda introduced the Sport Plus (S +) booster system.
